Evening Ballers Tuli organises penalty shootout

DIMAPUR, SEP 6 (NPN): The Evening Ballers, Tuli organised a penalty shootout for men and women along with a night carnival at Patizung Ground, Tuli, on September 4 and 5 with the objective of raising funds to support promising young footballers and provide them opportunities to showcase their talents on bigger platforms.
The event witnessed participation from 35 men’s teams and 7 women’s teams.
In the men’s category, Tuli United emerged as champions after defeating Break Free in the final. Tuli United received a cash prize of Rs. 30,000, while the runners-up were awarded Rs. 15,000. In the women’s category, Ao Kaketshir Telongjem Tuli clinched the top position, defeating Kangtsung Katetshir Telongjem Tuli in the final. The winners received Rs. 10,000, while the runners-up received Rs. 7,000. Supongnenba of Tuli United was adjudged the Best Goalkeeper of the tournament.
President of the Evening Ballers, Tuli, encouraged the public to continue supporting the group in its efforts to nurture young footballers and help them realize their goals and dreams.
The programme concluded with words of appreciation to all individuals, teams and groups whose contributions helped make the two-day event a success.
