The eviction drive was carried out along the National highway-29 at various locations in Kohima from Lerie to TCP gate and Avilie Petrol Pump to Tinpatti on Tuesday.
The drive was conducted by two teams consisting of Kohima district administration, police, KMC officials and NGOs.
According to a DIPR report, during the drive all construction and building materials, unused water pipelines and hanging water cables, pipelines and other obstruction structures were removed from the roadside and disposed-off. The drive was carried out for free movement of traffic and pedestrian.
