Former MLA of Satakha constituency, G. Kughavi Shohe, passed away on March 30. Late Kughavi began his political career in 1982 and went on to serve as MLA from 1993 to 1998.
Condoling his demise, minister for PWD (R&B), G. Kaito Aye, expressed deep sorrow and described Shohe as a dedicated leader who served the people with commitment. In a condolence message addressed to Mrs. Alice Kughavi Shohe, Kaito Aye said Shohe represented the aspirations of the people with sincerity, adding that his service would be remembered for years to come.
He said Shohe was not only a respected public figure but also someone he knew closely, whose guidance and support had greatly influenced his leadership journey.
Kaito further stated that Shohe’s demise was a great loss not only to Satakha constituency but also to the Sumi community and all who knew him. He added that though Shohe was no longer among them, his legacy and memories would continue to inspire many.
Kaito, along with his family, extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for strength and comfort during this difficult time.
