Ex-MLA Pongchailemba passes away

Former member of legislative assembly (MLA) Pongchailemba passed away in Dimapur on August 11. Late Pongchailemba, representing 55 Tobu assembly constituency, became a member of the 8th House of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly as an Independent candidate in February, 1993.

NLA speaker Sharingain Longkumer has expressed sorrow over the demise of Pongchailemba and said that contributions he has made would be fondly remembered by the people of the State.

In a condolence message, NLA speaker said that late Pongchailemba served the people of the State with great diligence in different capacities. 

The speaker, on behalf of the 13th NLA, conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that God grant them solace and comfort.
