The Ex-Servicemen League, Nagaland, held its general meeting-cum-election on August 5 at the Conference Hall of Ex-Servicemen League, Dimapur, Chumoukedima, and Niuland (DCN) at Walford, Dimapur.
The meeting witnessed active participation from ex-servicemen representing various districts across the state.
The formal handing over and taking over ceremony of the newly elected office bearers was conducted on August 16 at the League’s office located opposite the WWII Cemetery in Kohima.
The new executive team for the 2025–28 tenure was unanimously elected. The newly appointed office bearers include: Maj Vikuto Assumi (Retd) as president; Hony Sub Maj Moatemsu (Retd) as vice president; Sgt Ngukavi Kinimi (Retd) as general secretary; Nk YN Lotha (Retd) as joint secretary; Nk Daniel Longchar (Retd) as Information & Publicity Secretary; Nk Keneiwelie (Retd) as finance secretary; Nk Vinyi Domeh (Retd) as treasurer. Following the installation, the first meeting of the new executive team was convened to deliberate on key issues and outline future initiatives aimed at enhancing the welfare of the ex-servicemen community across Nagaland.
The event also featured brief addresses by Adm Comdt, 3 Corps, Col Satraj Singh; CEO of Pinnacle Skills Nagaland, Dr. Yan Murry; and Officer-in-Charge of Polyclinic Dimapur, Maj Merenwati (Retd), who commended the League’s efforts and encouraged continued service to the veteran community.
