Brigadier K. K. Roy Choudhury SM, VSM (Retd) secretary Rajya Sainik Board and director Sainik Welfare and Resettlement Nagaland has informed that there would be an ex-servicemen rally for ESM of Dimapur, Peren, Kohima, Phek, Kiphire, Zunheboto and Wokha districts at Zakhama military station on October 8, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with Governor of Nagaland P. B. Acharya as chief guest.
A press release by PRO (Def) Kohima, Lt. Col Emron Musavi has stated that various stalls would be established as welfare measure and to update the ex-servicemen fraternity. It also stated that there would be representatives from central pension processing cell (CPPC), Records the Assam Regimental Centre Shillong, Records The Naga & Kumaon Regimental Centre Ranikhet, Army Welfare Placement Node (AWPN), Digital Life Certificate (DLC) amp, Medical Camp, Grievances and Information Cell and CSD.
The release also informed that vehicles would be provided by army authority at Dimapur, near NST bus stand and Kohima DC office complex, while for Wokha, Zunheboto, Peren and Phek civil vehicles/NST buses would be hired by respective Zila Sainik welfare offices in coordination with the directorate. In order to avail maximum benefits, all ex-servicemen and widow pensioners are requested to bring their photocopy of PPO, Adhaar Card, Bank Acct No and Mobile No etc stated the release.
The Army authority has invited all Officers, JCOs, other ranks ex-servicemen and widows of the concerned districts and to inform their respective Zila Sainik welfare offices regarding attendance at the earliest to facilitate coordination of move.
Further, it said a separate ex-servicemen rally would be organized for Mon, Mokokchung, Tuensang and Longleng Districts in due course of time.
