Excise Dimapur Narcotic Cell (NC) enforcement duty party during routine checking at 6th Mile seized 864 cans of beer (500ml) and 13 bottles of assorted Indian-Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from a shop belonging to one Asraf Uddin s/o R. Uddin on June 29. According to deputy commissioner of excise (NC) Dimapur, Katoho Sumi, the accused was arrested and brought to the Excise NC office for further investigation along with the seized contraband.
The seized items were deposited in the office Malkhana and the case is presently under investigation as per relevant provisions of the NLTP Act, 1989.
The duty party was led by AIE Chuba Yim.
