DIMAPUR: Dimapur District Excise party manning Newfield Excise check gate recovered assorted IMFL from an Imphal-bound truck on February 19, 2021.
According to superintendent of Excise and Prohibition, Dimapur, T. Arilong Longkumer, the duty party on frisking of vehicle recovered 524 cases of assorted IMFL concealed under several bags of potato. In this connection, one Nongmaithem Sabitkumar Singh (29) of Wangjing, Thoubal, Manipur, was arrested and booked under relevant sections of NLTP Act 1989.
According to investigation report, the IMFL consignment was loaded at Guwahati and was on its way to Imphal, Manipur.
The duty party was led by AIE Allen Jami, AIE (Prob.) Tonika, h/constable Tsuknung, lady h/constable T.K Medom and constables Akahoto, Khekavi, Thejong, Khalenthong, Tsathongli and lady constable Sorila.
