Excise Dmu nab one with 2520 cans of beer

Excise Dimapur Narcotic cell (NC) enforcement duty party on June 26 arrested one Mohammad, resident of Karbi Anglong, Assam on charges of possessing 2520 cans of beer.
According to deputy commissioner of excise (NC), Katoho Sumi, the duty party around 1:15 am led by AIE Nokcha on routine checking (MVCP) on the highway around Burma Camp area intercepted a Tata Mobile bearing registration number NL07AC-6335. Upon checking the vehicle, the team recovered 2520 cans of beer. Katoho informed that the arrested person was brought to the excise narcotic cell office for further investigation along with the seized contraband and the vehicle. The seized items were deposited in the office Malkhana and the case is presently under investigation as per relevant provisions of the NLTP Act, 1989.
