Execute your assignments with sincerity: Tokheho

Member of parliament (MP) Lok Sabha, Tokheho Yepthomi on Tuesday, asked the officers present at the Wokha District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting, to execute their assignments with sincerity and give more effort in serving the people.
According to a DIPR report, the meeting was held in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner (DC) Wokha, to oversee and monitor the progress of different works under centrally sponsored schemes.
In his address, Tokheho said there would be some changes in the fund allotment and system of functioning and that the states have been asked to release 10% share of schemes and projects.
Only then, he said, the centre would release its remaining 90% share within 21 days.
He urged upon agri and allied departments to give up the old system of implementation of schemes and projects.
The MP stressed that the allied departments need to give more focus on planning and implementation of schemes together so that there should not be debilitation of works.
MP Rajya Sabha, Phangnon Konyak said the government was introducing a various schemes to improve the living standard of people.
She informed that the prime minister’s aim was that every deserving person should be benefitted from the central schemes.
The MP also stressed that accessibility and implementation of schemes largely depended on officers and departments overseeing the projects.
In this regard, she urged upon them to effectively carry out the projects.
Food & Civil Supplies, PWD (R&B), E.E. National Highway, District Agriculture Officer, DHO (Horticulture), DPO Land Resources, PHED and E.E Water Resources presented central sponsored schemes implemented under respective departments.
