Expired food items seized in Wka

A sizable number of expired food items were seized following a surprise checking carried out in and around Wokha town Thursday.
Carried out under the direction of ADC Wokha, Hotulo Swu, the surprise checking team comprised of EAC (Judiciary) T Kupa, EACs (Probationers), Changsang and Kupeusing Meru, and Dobashis.
The surprise checking was conducted with a view to create awareness among consumers on the ill-effects of consuming expired food stuffs. The team further informed that such exercise would continue in the coming days.
