Food and Civil Supplies (F&CS) Dimapur, assistant director, N. Jamonger Ao, has issued several guidelines to Fair Price Shops (FPS) under Dimapur district.
In a release, F&CS Dimapur has stated that in continuation to previous office order and circulars, FPS (urban/rural) under Dimapur district have been directed to open their respective FPS from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday every week of the month.
It has been informed that eligible beneficiaries under National Food Security Act 2013 should not be deprived or denied of their allotted quota of essential commodities due to non- seeding/non-enrolment of Aadhaar to their ration cards.
The office has informed that the eligible beneficiaries/ration card holders under National Food Security Act 2013 have been directed to furnish proof of possession of Aadaar number or undergo Aadhaar enrolment at the earliest in order to receive their entitlements as stated in the Aadhaar Act 2016.
Meanwhile, the beneficiaries have been asked to produce pan card, driving license, bank pass book, government issued identity cards, voters EPIC card, electricity bills as alternative while their Aadhaar was under process.
FPS has been asked to display clearly in a prominent place inside the FPS the rate and scale of issue of the commodities.
For any grievances relating to the provisions under the National Food Security Act 2013, the beneficiaries have been asked to approach the grievance redressal officer of the assistant Director, Food and Civil Supplies, Bank Colony: Dimapur and the Additional Deputy Commissioner (HQ) who has been designated as the district grievances redressal officer.
