Factions clash

Rival factions of the NSCN on Wednesday exchanged fires at a place between Thangjang and Lieeu village some 13 kilometers away from Jalukie sub-division. However, no casualty was reported.According to police, the firing which started at around 10:10 a.m lasted for about 10-15 minutes. Police said the cadres stopped firing after the intervention of IRB, AR and Police personnel. Activists of both the factions have vacated the place and the situation normal, Police said.
