Farewell programmes for deputy commissioners, officers

Various districts across the state organised farewell programmes for outgoing deputy commissioners (DC) and other government officers at respective headquarters.
Kohima: Kohima district administration organised a farewell programme for its DC, Gregory Thejawelie and other administrative officers in the conference hall of the DC Kohima on Tuesday.
According to a DIPR report, Gregory in his farewell speech said whatever was implemented and achieved was because of the teamwork of each government officials, Angami Public Organisation (APO), KVC, AWO, AYO, ASU, KVYO and other stakeholders.
Gregory said the biggest challenge during his tenure was the pandemic and acknowledged senior SP Kohima, CMO Kohima and medical team, frontal organisations and district officers for extending towards tackling the COVID situation and containing the spread.
Gregory also thanked Angami Public Organisation and Kohima Village Council for taking the initiative and intervention on road projects.
The DC also acknowledged KMC, KVYO, AYO, ASU in assisting with implementation of plastic free environment which he claimed witnessed “drastic change” in plastic waste management.
Meanwhile, outgoing revenue officer Kohima, Kelevituo Nisa, SDO (C) Kohima, R. Daniel Angami and EAC Kohima, Dziesengunuo Mere delivered farewell speeches.
On behalf of district head offices, CMO Kohima, Dr. Vezokholu Theyo expressed gratitude to the deputy commissioner. KMC administrator, Lanusenla and SDO (C) Kohima, Kevingutuo Kulnu also delivered speeches at the programme.
Earlier, outgoing ADC Kohima, N. Bhavani Sri read out a farewell message while district planning officer Kohima, Pudusul Luho on behalf of Kohima DPDB also spoke on the occasion.
Longleng: Longleng district bade farewell to its outgoing deputy commissioner Longleng, M. Shayung Phom by organising a farewell programme on June 10 at DC office complex.
According to a DIPR report, in his farewell speech, Shayung lauded the cooperation extended by churches, CSOs and NGOs to the district administration and the services rendered by government officers during the pandemic.
He further said the achievement of the district during his tenure was attributed to all the leaders and officers of the district as everyone worked as a team.
Mon: Hans Foundation team, Mon district organised a farewell programme for DC Mon, Thavaseelan K on June 11.
According to a DIPR report, deputy commissioner in his speech lauded the contribution of The Hans Foundation to the District.
He mentioned that a team of over 50, consisting of doctors, paramedic staff, social workers and drivers of the Mobile Medical Units launched in the district were taking basic health care to the people.
He highlighted that with construction of a new PHC in the border and remote village of Pessao and CHC Tizit by the Foundation, the health care delivery in the district will reach a new horizon.
Meanwhile, Hans Foundation program manager, Kalyan Barua acknowledged the DC for his support in the endeavors of the Foundation and recalled the DC’s capabilities in managing administrative issues towards the development of the district and bringing constructive reforms to the healthcare sector.
Earlier, at Aboi, a farewell programme for outgoing ADC, Chumlamo Humtsoe was held on June 8, in the conference hall of the ADC, hosted by officers and staff of the office of ADC Aboi.
According to a DIPR report, the programme was attended by heads of offices, church leaders, NGOs, GBs, ward leaders, public leaders and well-wishers from various sections of the society.
The civil society organisations led by KNSK also felicitated the outgoing ADC for his contribution towards the development of Aboi town and sub-division.
Niuland: Niuland district bade farewell to its outgoing DC, Ajit kumar Verma, ADC, Athrila S. Sangtam and SDO Civil, Anoka H Assumi on June 10 in the conference hall of DC, Niuland.
According to a DIPR report, in his speech, the DC acknowledged the role and support of the ADC and staffs in running the newly formed district and also encouraged the public leaders of the district to have a futuristic planning for the new district.
Peren: Peren district bade farewell to its outgoing DC Sentiwapang Aier on June 8 at a farewell programme held in the conference hall of DC Peren.
According to a DIPR report, various district level officers and leaders of civil societies organisations in their speeches expressed gratitude to the DC. They also described him as one of the most dedicated, efficient and humble administrative officers.
In his farewell speech, Sentiwapang termed his three-year stay in Peren as very challenging and exciting and acknowledged the administrative officers, HoDs and civil society organisations for their cooperation.
Wokha: Wokha DPDB organised a farewell programme for outgoing administrative officers of Wokha district on June 9 in the conference hall of the DC Wokha.
According to a DIPR report, the farewell programme was organised for DC Wokha, Orenthung Lotha, ADC Lankonsen T Tsanglao, SDO (C) Chonpenthung Ezung and SDO (C) Wanmei Phom.
In his farewell speech, outgoing Wokha DC, Orenthung Lotha said it was a privilege to serve his own community and that he did his best to serve the people of the district.
The deputy commissioner also acknowledged the support and cooperation from departments, subordinate officers, NGOs and Hohos.
Meanwhile, District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) Wokha chairman and advisor for law and justice, Dr. Chumben Murry expressed gratitude to all the officers for their valuable services.
Other outgoing officers also spoke at the farewell programme.
