Farewell programmes to DCs of Kohima, Mokokchung

Farewell programmes of outgoing deputy commissioners of Kohima and Mokokchung were held in their respective district headquarters on January 15.   

KOHIMA: Staff of DC office Kohima organized a farewell programme for the out-going deputy commissioner, Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan at deputy commissioner conference hall, Kohima.
According to DIPR report, Soundararajan, who took charge on January 5, 2017 and is now being posted as deputy commissioner Mokokchung personally thanked everyone especially the staff for organising the programme. He said it was a great challenge to be the DC of Kohima and his toughest challenge was the law and order situation that arose during the ULB elections. 
He said that all these events has been a great learning experience and will help him in dealing with such situations in future. He further thanked all his colleague administrative officers, SP Kohima and his subordinate officers, elected members of Kohima district, NGOs and various civil societies in Kohima for extending their full co-operation and support in all his endeavours as a government servant. He also encouraged all to continue with the  various initiatives started during his short tenure to ensure that the state capital moves forward in the right direction. Others who spoke included Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, ADC Kohima on behalf of the DC office staff, SP Kohima, vice president, Angami Public Organization, president Angami youth Organization and chairman Gurkha Panchayat. The programme was chaired by Longasen Lotha, SDO (c) Sardar, Kohima who also pronounced the vote of thanks. Special song was presented by the Dobashis of Kohima.
Mokokchung: A farewell programme for outgoing DC Sachin Jaiswal was held at DC bungalow, Mokokchung. The outgoing DC joined office as SDO (C) Mokokchung on December 15, 2015. DC in his farewell speech said that his stay in Mokokchung for more than three years was a memorable and successful journey. He said all the things done and achieved in the district during his time was not limited to him or the administration alone but everything was made possible through the support of all the officers, staff of different departments, NGOs and the people of the district.
In the programme, short speeches were delivered by Dr. Kibang, deputy CMO on behalf of DPDB members, Dr. B.M. Sunep, CVO on behalf of OCM, Raguramarajan A, SP, Mokokchung, Chubawati, president, Ao Senden, Moainba, UDA on behalf of DC staff, Noklentoba, PA to DC, Tuli on behalf of Dobashis, Razouvolie Dozo, ADC, Mangkolemba on behalf of outpost administrative officers and W. Manpai Phom, ADC, Mokokchung on behalf of DC office. Special song was presented by Talipokum Pongener and associate pastor, MTBA, Temsuwati said the invocation. The programme was chaired by Thungchanbemo Tungoe, SDO (C), Mokokchung.
