Department of Agriculture Office (DAO), Longleng distributed farming machineries under SMAM 2022-23 to the beneficiaries at the programme held at DAO office, Longleng on April 11.
According to DIPR report, the EAC Longleng, S. Chingmei distributed the machineries to the beneficiaries under Longleng district.
S. Chingmai in her speech said for the district to head in the right direction, it required the knowledge of acquiring different kinds of schemes provided by the government.
She appreciated State government and department of Agriculture for looking after the welfare of the farmers. Chingmai said that if testimonies can be shared by the beneficiaries about the tools and equipment provided by the government, it would bring a positive outcome. She called upon the gathering to preserve the seeds for the future and encouraged them to utilise the machines judiciously.
Keynote address was delivered by DAO Longleng, S. Yongchang Phom. Samoi, a farmer from Pongching village shared the words of appreciation on behalf of the farmers. The programme was chaired by AI Longleng, M. Chingsang Phom.
