DIMAPUR: Fazl Ali College organised an Orientation Programme for first semester students of BA, B.Com and B.Sc on Wednesday at the college auditorium to familiarise the newly admitted students with the academic values and environment of the institution.
In a press release, information and publicity cell of the College informed that delivering the welcome address, vice principal L.S. Vinod congratulated the students and highlighted the academic course under the Four‑Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP). He also handed over concession refunds to ten meritorious students selected this year-five from Arts, three from Science and two from Commerce-under the college’s policy of granting 50% admission fee concession annually. An overview of the college was presented by Maongienla, Assistant Professor, Department of English, who highlighted infrastructure, facilities, extracurricular activities, services and benefits available to students, while stressing the importance of adhering to the code of conduct.
The programme was chaired by Sashikokla Jamir, Assistant Professor, Department of Geography, with a special prayer offered by Nungshitemjen Longkumer, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology. The event was attended by students, guardians, parents and faculty members.
