Fazl Ali College welcomed its first semester students of BA, B.Sc, and B.Com by organizing Freshers’ Day 2025 on August 14 under the theme “Springboard: Towards a New Horizon.” The event, considered one of the college’s most significant annual traditions, serves to officially induct new students into the Fazlian family and celebrate their entry into college life.
In his address, principal Dr. I Wati Imchen encouraged the students to embrace challenges and step beyond their comfort zones, urging them to seize every opportunity that college life offers. Yimdangjungla Jamir, speaking on behalf of the freshers, shared her excitement and gratitude, while general secretary, FACSU, Aosashi C Kichu, offered words of motivation and encouragement to the newcomers.
A highlight of the celebration was the Mr. and Ms. Fresher 2025 competition, which featured 20 contestants showcasing their poise, intelligence, and personality. After an engaging and spirited contest, Mr. Walunir K Tsudir (B.Sc Chemistry) and Ms. Likhum Sangtam (BA Sociology) were crowned Mr. and Miss Fresher 2025, respectively.
The event also featured sub-title awards in the following categories including Mr. & Miss Congeniality, Mr. & Miss Talented, Mr. & Miss Runway and Best Ethnic Wear.
The programme was also enlightened by performances from the teachers and students. The event was graced by Union Church FAC, pastor, Rev. Lima Lemdur, who offered a special prayer and blessing for the freshers.
