FCC backs DUCCF on RSF

Fellowship Colony Council (FCC) Dimapur has backed Dimapur Urban Council Chairman Federation (DUCCF) suggestion that the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) maintain the existing rate of Rs. 60 on Resident Sanitation Fee (RSF).

In a press release, FCC chairman, Arep Changkija said DMC has the prerogative to fix the RSF and at the same time it was also the bounded duty to implement regular and efficient door to door garbage collection, leaving no room for public complaints.

The council said that they were ready to provide assistance by way of collecting fee on behalf of DMC, but the collectors received many complaints on “irregular and poor services by the DMC garbage collection vehicles and staff”.

Apart from that, many residents failed to pay on time. In this connection, FCC suggested that DMC fix the RSF as per their specific budget requirements and provide the best service and outsource/insource the fee collection without involving the colony councils.
