FCI says sufficient rice stocks available

Food Corporation of India (FCI) has informed that sufficient stocks of rice were available in central pool to meet the requirement of National Food Security Act (NFSA) and other schemes as well as for additional requirement of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) for the state of Nagaland.
FCI regional office Dimapur informed that as on November 8, 2022, approximately 42161 MT of rice was available in the central pool, which is well above the buffer norms /operational requirement. Out of 21253 MT allocated for November 2022 (which includes all schemes), 2843 MT had been lifted by state during November while there is 18410 MT of balance stock to be lifted by state.
