Directorate of Food and Civil Supplies (F&CS) has informed that National Food Security Act (NFSA) beneficiary in the state can perform eKYC from any Fair Price Shop in the state as per the direction of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Department, Government of India.
However, the department informed that all eKYC has to be completed before February 2024.
The notification has been issued as some FPS in the state were not permitting beneficiaries attached to others FPS to perform eKYC in their FPS.
In this regard, the department informed that no FPS should deny/hinder any NFSA beneficiary registered under the department of Food and Civil Supplies, government of Nagaland to perfume eKYC.
The department warned that action will be initiated against those Fair Price Shop for non-compliance.
