Federal Government of Nagaland warns former member for collecting taxes

Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has issued a warning notice against Sukhai Awomi, also known as Asukha Awomi, for allegedly continuing to collect taxes in the name of NNC/FGN despite his termination from the organisation in September 2023.
In a statement, Tusoveyi Demo, ‘deputy kilo kilonser’ FGN cautioned Awomi to immediately cease such illegal activities and stop tarnishing the image of NNC/FGN. It warned that failure to comply would invite action as per law. FGN also urged the general public and business establishments, particularly in Dimapur, not to deal with Awomi in any form, stating that he has no association with NNC/FGN. It further cautioned that anyone engaging with him would do so at their own risk.
