Under the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” campaign, felicitation programme in honor of Moa Subong (Folk artiste & Padma Shri Awardee) & Singing Competition 2023 was organized at auditorium of Nagaland University, Headquarters: Lumami on August 9.
The chief guest, Vice-Chancellor NU, prof. Jagadish Kumar Patnaik and guest of honor Moa Subong (Padma Shri Awardee & Folk artiste) graced the occasion.
Moa Subong and his wife Arenla Subong also performed their beautiful songs during the programme.
In view of 75th celebration of India’s Independence, singing competition was organized where all tribal songs were performed by NU students. The programme was jointly organized by Nagaland University & NUSU (L). Prizes and certificates were awarded to the participants who have successfully participated in the singing competition.
Earlier, prof. M K Sinha (chairman, committee) delivered the welcome address, prof. Athungo Ovung proposed the vote of thanks. Dr. Maibam Radharani Devi was compere and N Albert Khizho (Registrar i/c) also graced the occasion.
