Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) Nagaland state unit has stated that there were a few ticket aspirants of the party, who wished to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
In a press release, LJP (RV) state unit president S Richard Humtsoe stated that some of the aspirants have expressed willingness to contest the election on LJP ticket.
However, Humtsoe said that LJP state core committee would consider the merits and demerits of each applicant before deciding as to whether the party will set up a candidate.
He said that the larger interest of the party would be taken into consideration in consultation with the sitting MLAs and the party leadership at the Centre and the state.
