FFC appeals for revocation of arrest order

DIMAPUR, MAY 24 (NPN):

The fact-finding committee (FFC) representing Dimapur Urban Council Chairmen Federation (DUCCF), Dimapur District GB Association (DDGBA), and GB Union Dimapur Sadar has appeal for revocation of the recent order directing the arrest of colony GBs who resist installation of smart prepaid electricity meters.
In a press release, committee convenor Dr. Kahuka Sema and general secretary T. Yanbothung Kikon said the order has sparked concerns among community leaders and residents “potentially leading to unrest and mistrust.”
The committee expressed belief that engaging in dialogue with the community leaders and residents to address concerns. It also said that providing clarity on smart prepaid meter installation would bring about a mutually beneficial solution.
The fact-finding committee has, therefore, appealed to the responsible authority to revoke the order and to adopt a more collaborative approach to implementing smart prepaid meters.
