FFC on NU to arrive July 2

The new Fact Finding Committee (FFC) constituted by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) to probe into the alleged irregularities in the Nagaland University will arrive July 2.
Highly-placed sources in the Nagaland University Teachers’ Association (NUTA) have confirmed the visit. The FFC is expected to submit its report within 45 days.
During the visit, FFC is expected to visit Nagaland University, Lumani campus and take stock of the ground realties.
A delegation from NUTA is also reported to have visited NU Lumani campus recently, though details were not known.
The new Fact Finding Committee (FFC) was constituted after the Nagaland University Teacher Association (NUTA) objected to the previous FFC set by MHRD.
The newly constituted FFC members visited Nagaland last month on May 19 and 20. The three-member team visited two campuses (NU Kohima campus, NU Medzhiphema campus) and also met representatives of both teachers and students’ bodies, vice chancellor NU and officials of the university, besides various civil societies.
Prior to their departure, FFC team told newsmen that they would visit Nagaland University Lumani campus. Nagaland University has three campuses- Kohima, Medzhiphema and Lumani.
The newly Fact Finding Committee (FFC) was constituted, after the Nagaland University Teacher Association (NUTA) objected to the previous FFC set by MHRD.
It may be mentioned that NUTA had submitted several memorandums to the President of India, Prime Minister and Union Minister for MHRD demanding probe into the various irregularities in the Nagaland University and recall of the vice chancellor Prof. K Kannan. 
NUTA is also demanding a CBI enquiry into the alleged irregularities.
