DIMAPUR, SEP 9 (NPN): The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has directed the Naga public to abstain from the ongoing Indian census exercise.
In a notification issued on September 9, FGN cabinet secretary Ipuakteung Riame said the decision was taken during a meeting of the council of kilonsers. It stated that the present Indian census drive was “not for the Naga nation” but for counting the Indian population and directed the Naga public to abstain from enrolment in the census exercise in future.
