FGN bans sale of liquor, drugs, illegal businesses

FGN midan peyu, UT Dimapur has stated that “blanket ban” would be imposed on the illegal items and activities in Dimapur and Nagaland.
In a press release, FGN midan peyu, UT-Dimapur Toiho Tuccu stated that ban would be imposed on liquor [suppliers/wholesalers and retailers (booz joints)]; drugs (all illegal items amounting to addiction and harmful to health; prostitutions (all other immoral activities which are communicable and harmful to the society; rapist(s) would be dealt on different platform and vehicle theft: vehicle theft will be treated with ‘extraordinary laws’ available for them.
FGN midan peyu cautioned that any person(s) /group(s)/ organisation(s) ignoring “this call of nation’s duty will be dealt with an iron hand.”  He said this ‘pre-information notice’ was being issued to all the Naga general public for awareness to jointly check and root out all forms of illegal practices in the land. Midan peyu said this was in pursuance of the approval and endorsement by the ‘committee on cabinet affairs’.
FGN stated that habitual defaulter(s) would be made known to the general public as an example (to award capital punishment).
FGN stated that this blanket ban would be operated under the command of “operation black shadow” and would come into effect from February 11, 2015. Apart from UT-Dimapur, FGN midan peyu said this ahza/order shall come into force in entire Nagaland and shall be supervised by the respective regional midan peyus in the case of regions.
All the responsible Naga citizens and organisations (NGOs) have been requested to cooperate and contact the “government authority” (9856163363) when in need.
Stating that “Nagaland is a Christian nation”, FGN said Naga people “solely and firmly believe in the belief of Christianity and our God Almighty.”
FGN also stated that Naga people having been following the same footprints of ‘fore-bearers and patriots’ who coined the slogan “Nagaland for Christ”, the “government” in the “interest of the nation and to salvage our people from the point of no return”, took up this stern decision to fight against the prevailing environment “hovering around us that is on the verge to destroy our society”.
