DIMAPUR: Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) under Kedahge Tokuho Swu has impeached and removed Kitoho Zhimomi, son of Hokheto Zhimomi of Nitozu village, from all responsibilities, positions and affiliations under the FGN.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Information and Publicity (MIP), the decision was taken during a joint meeting held on June 5 at Dimapur in the presence of the Council of Kilonsers, Tatars Hoho and the Army wings, including the Chief of Army.
The statement alleged misuse of funds, lack of transparency, unlawful activities and attempts to divide and rule. It further claimed that Kitoho had joined seven Naga Political Groups within one and a half years and collected multiple taxes in the name of different political parties and positions for personal benefit. Declaring that Kitoho Zhimomi is no longer recognised as an active member or representative of the FGN, the release stated that he is not authorised to engage in any political dialogue or activities with any political group, including those conducted under the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR).
