FGN Konyak region clarifies

Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) Konyak region has issued a clarification that that there was no difference with regard to financial matter and that collection of any kind of taxation for 2017 has not been started. 
FGN Konyak region was reacting to news report on “FGN issues ahza to Konyak region”.  In this connection, an emergency meeting was held on June 22 with the Leacy Hoho, regional executive members and Naga army under Konyak region, said FGN Konyak region lecy speaker K. Konyak and i/c secretary B. Konyak in a press statement. After reviewing the “yezhabo” of FGN, the house resolved that under Konyak region its executive head (Empi Midan Peyu) was appointed by Kedaghe (president) and therefore, has the power to function and perform the duties. 
Therefore, the FGN Konyak region wanted to know the person behind for assigning financial power to collect tax without the knowledge of the Midan Peyu of the Konyak region.  Further, it informed the general public, departments and business establishments under Mon district to cooperate with the orders and decision of Empi Midan Peyu Konyak region.    It also warned of strong action as per the “yezhabo” of FGN in the event any person or individual found disregarding the above decision.
