
Commander-in-chief, Naga Army, ‘gen’ Tavecho Lala on behalf of the Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has expressed grief and shock at the demise of ‘brig’ Medochülie, 6th Bn. 2nd Bde. W/C on January 15 at Ura village, Angami region after a prolonged illness.
‘Gen.’ Tavecho Lala stated that late Medochülie, son of Tsovilie of Meriema village joined Naga Army on May 18, 1963 and steadfastly carried out his assigned duties in the Alee Command to East Pakistan and China and also held various posts in the national defense services.
The condolence message also stated that he was a recipient of the Military Cross (MC), Hero Award and was a true patriot, and his untimely demise was an irrecoverable loss for the nation and community. It stated that his true sacrifice and patriotic services rendered to the nation shall always remain alive in the history of the Naga nation.
It further conveyed its condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that the departed soul rest in peace.
