FGN reacts on Rakho’s impeachment

Dimapur:

Tatar Hoho of the Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has issued a rejoinder expressing surprise over a statement issued by Rakho concerning his impeachment, which was served to him on February 19, 2026.
In the rejoinder, the Tatar Hoho elaborated on its deliberations regarding Rakho’s removal, citing misconduct in the national mechanism and unilateral decisions taken without consultation. The Tatar Hoho stated that the earlier “azha” served to him did not carry any individual or tribal remarks, but emphasized that in an advanced society there is no place for dictatorial practices, particularly in the national struggle setup where responsibility is shared collectively.
The Hoho alleged that Rakho failed to understand this reality and went on to appoint a general secretary, home kilonser, finance kilonser and army chief without consulting members of the Tatar Hoho. It maintained that such unilateral actions undermined collective responsibility, and therefore, he was discharged without hesitation. In this regard, the Tatar Hoho asserted that Rakho had been discharged without hesitation and advised him not to make unnecessary claims following his impeachment.
The rejoinder listed the members present during the deliberations, including 21 kilonsers, 11 tatars, 9 dy.kilonsers and 8 leacy.
