Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN), through its ministry of killo (Home) affairs, has denied reports claiming that the Naga Army factions led by NSCN (K) ‘maj. gen.’ (Retd.) Ang Mai and NNC/FGN Kedhage ‘brig.’ (Retd.) S. Singnya had reached a common ground at Shaplao Shao village, Lahe Township, Myanmar.
In a clarification, FGN killo secretary Selithre Sangtam stated that under the leadership of S. Singnya, no individual or entity has been authorized to engage in discussions at the government level with any political groups, particularly those without a ceasefire agreement with the Government of India.
Dismissing the viral reports on print and social media as false and misleading, FGN declared that the alleged meeting between Ang Mai and S Singnya on January 14, 2025, was entirely baseless and without official sanction and termed it as “null and void”.
