FGN regions back Thinoselie, Namrikiu’s leadership

Various regions of the Federal Government Nagaland (FGN) in separate statements have extended support to the leadership of NNC president ‘gen.’ (Retd.) Thinoselie Keyho and acting Kedahge of FGN Namrikiu.


CR: In a press note, FGN Chakhesang Region midan peyu Serapra Shijo said that some expelled national workers from NNC and FGN conducted an unconstitutional meeting at K. Basa village on September 23, which had misled and confused the innocent nation loving public both within and outside Chakhesang Region. In this regard, the Chakhesang region declared its stand to the people once again that whatever development may take in the region, they would uphold the May 16, 1951 plebiscite and continue to defend Naga sovereignty under the leadership of Thinoselie M. Keyho and Namrikiu. The region, therefore, appealed to all people not to be misled or confused by such anti-national elements at any point of time.


PR: Pochury Region midan peyu Ayon has clarified that the region did not send anybody to attend the controversial meeting held at K. Basa Village on September 23. Whoever attended that meeting did so at their individual capacity and do not represent the region in any form, it added. The region also declared that they stand by the August 14, 1947 Naga independence declaration and May 16, 1951 plebiscite and would continue to work for Naga nation under the leadership of Thinoselie and Namrikiu.


ZR: The Zeliang Region has condemned the unconstitutional meeting called and conducted by Tatar Hoho speaker September 23 at K. Basa village. ZR midan peyu Lodoubou Chawang expressed regret that this kind of activities weaken the nation because it misinforms and mislead the innocent and nation loving public. Under any circumstance, the region asserted its stand for the August 14, 1947 Naga Independence declaration and May 16, 1951 plebiscite and unceasingly work for the sovereignty of Nagas under the leadership of Thinoselie and Namrikiu.


KR: The Konyak Region midan peyu Hong Tong has expressed regret that two private personnel from the region attended the anti-national meeting at K. Basa village. It clarified that they were not sent by the region government and that they do not represent Konyak Region but they did so in their own personal capacity.
In this regard, Hong Tong declare that the government uphold the May 16, 1951 Plebiscite and shall continue to support and work under the leadership of Thinoselie Keyho and Namrikiu.


Dissolution Azha: Meanwhile, acting kedahge Namrikiu has indefinitely dissolved the Sumi Region government under the leadership of interim midan peyu Akavi Chishi for failing to carry out the responsibility of Sumi Region establishments under the NNC and FGN and for joining hands with “conspirators and anti-national forces” by attending and endorsing the unconstitutional meeting on September 23, at K. Basa village. Henceforth, Sumi Region shall only be reconstituted with the mandate of Sumi people under any circumstance, it added.
