FGN rejects impeachment

DIMAPUR: FGN, in a rejoinder to the report “FGN impeaches functionary” published on June 8, clarified that the council of kilonsers and tatars hoho had no prior knowledge of, nor was consulted regarding, the decision. According to a statement issued by the kilosner of MIP, the council did not participate in any meeting or deliberation that endorsed or supported the removal of Kitoho Zhimomi, kilo kilonser, son of Hokheto Zhimomi of Nitozu village.
MIP further stated that the accusations against Kitoho Zhimomi-claiming he joined seven Naga Political Groups within one and a half years-were unfounded and untrue. It asserted that the council was not in favour of the reported decision and did not recognise it as having been made with its knowledge or approval, therefore declared the removal “not official.”
