The Nagaland Football Association (NFA) successfully conducted the final selection trials for the State U-16 Girls Football Team in preparation for the upcoming Dr. T. Ao Trophy Junior Girls National Championship 2025-26. The trials were held on October 3 at the Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
A total of 39 aspiring footballers from across Nagaland participated in the trials, showcasing their skills and determination to represent the state at the national level. The event marked a crucial step in finalizing the squad that will compete in the prestigious championship. The Dr. T. Ao Trophy Junior Girls National Championship 2025-26 is tentatively scheduled to be held in November 2025 at the Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima. Nagaland will host the tournament through the Nagaland Football Association, with support from the Department of Youth Resources & Sports, Government of Nagaland.
