Department of Finance held a farewell programme for two outgoing officers — Chubakatila Jamir, additional secretary and Kekhwezo Kepfo, joint secretary — on April 30 on completion of 35 years of service.
A press release from the department stated that the retiring officers delivered speeches, thanking God and the staff for their cooperation and support during the course of their service.
Speaking on the occasion, V. Kezo, OSD (General), stated that it was a blessing for the two officers to be retiring in good health. He described Kekhwezo Kepfo as very amenable to work with and an officer who had personal respect for each of his colleagues. Kezo stated that Chubakatila Jamir was a sincere and hard working officer.
Kikheto Sema, secretary, stated that Kekhwezo Kepfo, who had a long inning of 30 years in the Finance department, never complained about anything or anyone. He was respectful to both his senior and junior officers, a quality that should be emulated by one and all, stated Kikheto. He also appreciated Chubakatila Jamir for her positive attitude towards work, her sincerity, frankness, openness and efficiency.
R.C Acharjee, advisor finance, thanked the two retiring officers for their contributions to the department and wished them well on their retirements. The programme was chaired by Bodeno S. Colo, joint secretary.
