Financial literacy prog at Mezoma village

Nagaland State Social Welfare Board SCA of NMDFC, SRCW under financial literacy camp programme under FIF, NABARD organised financial literacy programme on March 27 at Mezoma village for the women.
In the programme, resource person from Bank of Baroda, Anita Devi, shared the significance of banking and stressed on the importance of saving which would help them become financially secure. 
 The resource person further stressed on Kisan Credit Card (KCC) that allowed the farmers to obtain timely and adequate credit without any hassles from the bank and some of the benefits that came along with it. 
Project manager, NSSWB, Salie A. Kruse, introduced the Joint Liability Group (JLG) which was a concept under National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) to provide institutional credit to small farmers. She also spoke on the importance of digital payment.  Keduokhonuo Belho of 181 shared on the awareness of Women Hepline 181, a toll free Helpline number for any women faced by violence or any women in distress and One Stop Center- Sakhi (Kohima and Dimapur) under the ministry of Women and Child Development. 
She also brief on the Childine-1098 which was a national 24 hour free phone emergency outreach service for children in need of care and protection.
