Financial products to Kigwema village highlighted

First sub-divisional level DAK Community Development Programme (DCDP) meet in Nagaland organised by Kohima Sub-division in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and NSRLM was held at Kigwema Village Council Hall on September 29.


At the programme, inspector of Posts, Kohima Sub-Division. Kum. Rajani Jha, highlighted the important financial products of the department of Posts including Speed Post and PLI/RPLI and their advantages while senior manager, IPPB, Kohima Branch I. Moala Ao, spoke on the IPPB products and services. She appealed to the villagers of Kigwema to open IPPB Premium accounts and avail various services such as PMJJBY and accidental insurance, CELC etc which were aimed for the welfare of the community respectively.


CDPO, Jakhama Block Zubemo Jami motivated the audience to open accounts in the Post Office as it was convenient to open an account in a post office. He highlighted the important welfare schemes of the department of Social Welfare such as PMMVY, Poshan, etc which could be directly transferred to the accounts of the beneficiaries through DBT.


A short speech on behalf of the Village Council, Kigwema was delivered by Neisakolie Mera, GB, Kigwema Village, while vote of thanks was given by Dipak Chandra Das, ASP (HQ), Nagaland Postal Division, Kohima. Earlier, Neisolie Thorie, pastor CRC, Kigwema said the invocation and the programme was chaired by Kevikhrielie Kirha where at least 135 individuals attended the program. The welcome address was delivered by inspector of Posts Mokokchung Sub-Division Kevikhrielie Kirha.
