FIR against scribe for defaming NMA

Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA) has strongly refuted the allegation made by one Manoj Anand, special correspondent of The Asian Age and The Deccan Chronicle, who had described the NMA as  “a frontal organisation of NSCN (I-M)”.

NMA in a press release said the report has been circulated widely by both the newspapers and in his social media page– Facebook and Twitter posts.
Naga Mothers’ Association asserted that such kind of wild allegation was baseless and unfounded and made with malafide intent to “defame, humiliate and intimidate” Naga women.
NMA said it had also lodged an FIR under the SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act with the Director General of Nagaland Police against Manoj Anand.
Further, NMA has also sent a legal notice   to Manoj Anand asking him to tender a public apology and withdraw his article and remove all his posts on this specific article from social media platforms Facebook and Twitter which defamed NMA within 15 days or face legal consequences of defamation.
