FIR lodged against student leader involved in alleged vandalism in Dimapur

DIMAPUR, JUL 2 (NPN): Dimapur Police on Thursday registered an FIR following a complaint against a student leader who was allegedly involved in an incident of vandalising a restaurant/lounge in Dimapur on June 30.
A video that went viral on social media purportedly showed the student leader damaging some items inside the restaurant/lounge.
According to police sources, the incident reportedly took place on June 30.
Basing on an official complaint lodged by the restaurant/lounge owner, an FIR was registered at East Police Station on July 2, with the Police informing that investigation into the matter was currently ongoing.
When contacted, Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) Grievance Cell convener Kevin Yepthomi said the DCCI would take appropriate action only after ascertaining the facts from both parties involved.
