Fire breaks out at Purana Bazar Dimapur

A fire broke out at residential area at Wungram, Mount View Colony, Purana Bazar, Dimapur on February 25 night.
When contacted fire station (Central), Commandant Menose Zashiimo informed Nagaland Post that the incident took place around 11 pm. He informed that a bamboo structure with five rooms was gutted in the inferno.


Five fire engines – three from central and two from west fire station took one hour to douse the fire. The cause of the fire was suspected to be short circuit and properties worth Rs. 12 to 15 lakhs were destroyed. It was also reported that nine LPG cylinders also blasted, however no casualty was reported.
