A fire broke out at Thilixu Block 3 on Friday afternoon, destroying a thatched house, and an under construction house. Fire officials from Central Fire Brigade suspected short circuit to be the cause of fire.
Officials further informed that all family members were present in the house, at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported.
In addition to the thatched house, it was informed that an adjacent under-construction building was also destroyed in the fire.
Two fire tenders from the Central Fire Station were pressed into action and managed to bring the flames under control. Total loss of property and damages could not be estimated till the time of filing this report.
