Fire destroys over 20 houses in Dimapur

More than 20 houses were completely destroyed in a major fire that broke out in a densely populated locality at Master Colony, Kuda village here on Saturday evening at around 7 p.m.
Dimapur central fire station duty commander Neiphretuo Angami told Nagaland Post that at least seven fire engines were pressed into action and it took more than two hours to douse the fire. However, said that no casualties were reported. He said that investigation was on to ascertain the cause of the incident and the property damaged.
At least 10 gas cylinders were recovered from the incident site.
It may be recalled that on July 28, 2022, around 10 thatched houses were burnt and properties worth around Rs.18 lakh were destroyed after a fire broke out at Master Colony. On October 17, 2011, over 150 families were left homeless by a devastating fire that broke out in the same Colony.
