Fire destroys stationary warehouse in Dimapur

A stationary warehouse at Nyamo Lotha Road, Dimapur, opposite Cannara Bank was gutted down by flames at around four in the evening on February 1, causing traffic congestion. 
Officials of fire station West Dimapur, ASI, Yibenthung Lotha informed Nagaland Post that properties around five lakhs were destroyed, comprising mainly of stationery such as books, pencils, erasers, etc. 
He further added that in the wake of the fire call received at 4:48 p.m., three trucks from both Central and West Fire Department were put into action, dousing off the fire within 10 minutes. 
It was later learned that the owner of the warehouse received slight burn in his hands, however no major casualties were reported. 
Fire officials suspected electrical short circuit as the cause of fire outburst, however the owner maintained that there was no electricity connection in the warehouse.
