Fire in Lahorijan’s Dudu colony engulfs 7 houses; 28 families affected, no casualties

A major fire broke out at Dudu Colony, Lahorijan in Assam on Sunday night, damaging several houses and leaving 28 families affected.
According to fire officials, the incident was reported at around 10:45 pm when flames engulfed multiple kaccha houses in the locality. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
On receiving the alert, four fire tenders from the Central Fire Station and two from the West Fire Station Dimapur were immediately dispatched to the site. The coordinated efforts of the fire personnel helped bring the blaze under control and prevented further spread.
Authorities confirmed that seven houses were completely damaged in the incident. The estimated loss has been pegged at Rs. 22,40,000. Officials said the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
