Eight families were rendered homeless after a fire broke out at Ghora Pathi, Dimapur on Saturday. According to fire officials, it was learned that the fire broke out at around 9 am, where eight thatched houses were burned down.
The cause of the fire was suspected to be due to short circuit. The officials informed that five fire tenders, three from Central Fire Station and two from East Fire Station, were deployed to douse off the fire. Amount of property damaged could not be estimated till the time of filling this report.
