Commemorating Fire Service Week Day 4, Kiphire Fire Service conducted live demonstration at Deluxe Point on April 17.
OC Tsarose Sangtam emphasized the importance of mass awareness on fire safety, particularly focusing on kitchen and electrical fires and urged public to install fire safety equipment in their homes, offices and shops.
Sangtam also highlighted on a survey conducted in 2022 which revealed lack of fire safety installations in government offices, hospitals, schools, churches, commercial places, and private residences in Kiphire Town.
The demonstrations showcased fire handling techniques, and educated attendees on using fire extinguishers, aiming to sensitize the community about fire safety measures.
