Fire outbreak renders 13 families homeless in Dimapur

At least 13 families were rendered homeless after a fire broke out at Khermahal here at around 12:30 pm on Monday. Dimapur central fire station, duty commander Neiphretuo Angami told Nagaland Post that the fire broke out due to short circuit.


It took more than one hour for seven fire engines from Central, West and Chumoukedima fire stations to douse the fire.
However, no casualties were reported and investigation was on to ascertain the damaged property, he said.
