In line with the directive of Nagaland Fire & Emergency Service, the Fire Station Kiphire is observing National Fire Service Week from April 14 to 20, 2025, under the theme “Unite to ignite, a Fire Safe India “.
A DIPR report informed that the initiative aims to heighten awareness regarding fire safety and fire prevention. During the observation week, tribute will be paid to the courageous fire fighters who sacrificed their lives to protect others and property.
The commemoration parade will also honour the 66 fire fighters who perished in the 1944 explosion at Victoria Dock, Mumbai and observed a one- minute silent prayer in remembrance to the Martyrs of the Fire service personnel in the country.
As part of the observation week, fire personnel Kiphire will also carry out a cleanliness drive in Main Town, a fire evacuation drill at ZPC College, and a live demonstration at Delux Point on April 17, 2025.
